, Ltd (LMAC), which is made up of members of the timeshare association, and continues to be successful today. Located in Puerto Vallarta, this type of ownership was a first for Mexico. LMAC, an Oregon not-for-profit corporation, hired Trading Places International to revitalize a severely ailing club. Trading Places, familiar with Mexican property ownership laws, encouraged the Club’s Board of Directors to begin the process of transferring the title to the members. Negotiations were begun and completed, papers were signed, and in June 2000, payments began. Years later, management and the members of LMAC celebrated the final payment with a mock “mortgage burning” ceremony at the Club’s owner’s meeting and in 2013, this beautiful 46-unit property overlooking Conchas Chinas beach continues to thrive.

Marriott’s Playa Andaluza won the “Best Timeshare Resort- Europe and Middle East” at the recent Perspective Magazine’s 2013 Conference and Award ceremonies.  Located in Malaga, Spain in the heart of the Costa del Sol, the beachfront resort is located near marinas, nightlife, and other diversions.
