Signature Life Hotels Launched Fractional Ownership Opportunities in Africa

Signature Life Hotels has launched fractional ownership opportunities in Africa. In what is being hailed as the biggest private tourist investment launch since the 2010 World Cup, South Africa’s leading independent hospitality group, Signature Life Hotels is offering private investors the chance to buy a stake in three of its prime resort developments. Investors have a choice of hotel rooms, penthouses, and villas at the Jozini Tiger Estate in northern Natal, the Likweti Conference and Hotel in Mpumalanga, and the Fun Club Mauritius in the island nation of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Purchase options include outright sectional title ownership, fractional ownership and a variety of vacation allocation timeshare style options. Prices start as low as $3,300 for a week-a-year up to $328,000 for a whole ownership.

The Palace Resort and Spa Wins “Best Refurbishment Award”

The Palace Resort and Spa received the “Best Refurbishment Award” in recent ceremonies by the Vacation Ownership Association of South Africa. Situated in a prime location along Durban’s beachfront, the resort is midway through its 5-year, $20 million refurbishment program. Managed by First Resorts, the Palace’s remodeling includes extensive renovations to the facade, luxury apartments, restaurants, entertainment areas and a wellness center. The latest trends have been utilized in the new design and as the project rolls out, all 76 apartments will have a new look, exclusively designed by a world-renowned interior designer.

Interval International has launched Interval Community; an on-line social network designed to provide its 1.8 million members of the Interval Network a platform to share their love of vacation ownership, travel, and social networking. It is live on IntervalWorld.com.

Peninsula Bay Resort is a new resort on Bali. It is also one of the newest Interval International properties and is situated on the Indonesian island of Bali. It is the latest vacation ownership property developed by British entrepreneurs, Roger and Alan Thomas, and is located on the waterfront of Nusa Dua overlooking the golden sand beaches of Benoa Bay. Upon completion, the purpose-built project will feature 65 one and two-bedroom units, all with sea-facing views. The resort is being built using contemporary Balinese architecture and is set within lush tropical gardens to create an eco- friendly atmosphere. The new property is just a five-minute drive from Peninsula Beach Resort, with shuttle service between the two, so that owners are free to enjoy the amenities at both properties. Other planned amenities include an on-site spa, swimming pool, gym, two restaurants, and three bars.

Egypt’s Gardenia Resort Scheduled to Open in 2011

The Gardenia Resort in Egypt is scheduled to be completed in 2011 and will be a member of the Interval International vacation exchange program. The resort will be located in the holiday town of Hurghada on Egypt’s famed Red Sea Riviera.

It is a mixed-use property situated within easy reach of golden beaches and local nightlife. The purpose-built resort will contain 175 timeshare units with a combination of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Facilities on site will include restaurants and bars, swimming pools, and a kid’s corner.

International Riviera Tunisia Set to be Complete in 2011

The International Riviera in Tunisia, North Africa, is set to be completed in 2011 and will be a member of the Registry Collection Exchange Program, the world’s largest luxury exchange program offered by Group RCI.

The International Riviera will include 50 luxury waterfront villas, and the concept was created as a fusion of European elegance and the 21st century pioneering spirit of Dubai. The five-star residential resort development will have at its heart a Las Vegas-style casino complex and a range of other upscale amenities, including golf, spa, marinas and retail.
