Villa del Palmar Cancun Added to Interval International

The Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort and Spa has been added to the Interval International exchange network. With the development of its first shared ownership resort in the Mexican Caribbean, the Villa Group is building on its success in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, and Loreto.

Currently under construction, the property will be situated on 35 acres along Mujeres Bay, opposite Isla Mujeres, and a 15-minute drive from downtown Cancun. The first phase is slated to open in 2010 and two additional phases are expected to be completed by 2012. Each villa will be elegantly decorated and include a living room, dining room, full kitchen with granite countertops, modern appliances and electronic equipment, and a spacious terrace.

The Grand Solmar at Land’s End Resort and Spa, an exclusive vacation ownership resort in Los Cabos is scheduled to open in 2011. The resort will be a member of the Interval International Global Vacation Network.

The oceanfront resort is located next to the Arch of Los Cabos at the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula. The property will include 250 villas with views of the Pacific Ocean, landscaped gardens, and many more amenities.

Grand Solmar at Land’s End Resort and Spa has been added to Interval International’s global inventory. The resort is planned as an exclusive vacation ownership resort in Los Cabos.

Scheduled to begin construction in March, the oceanfront resort will be adjacent to the renowned Arch of Los Cabos at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. Grand Solmar will include 250 villas with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and its landscaped gardens upon completion.

Phase I of the project will include 104 units that are scheduled for occupancy in winter 2011 and phase II, which will have 96 additional units, is expected to be completed two years later.

The final phase, with 50 units, is slated for occupancy in winter 2015. The villas will feature old world Mexican décor with wood carved furnishings, wrought iron and stone finishes, fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, spacious living and dining areas, state-of-the-art electronics, Wi Fi Internet access, and private terraces.

Cancun, Mexico Timeshare “Royal Mayan” voted favorite Timeshare

The Royal Mayan in Cancun, Mexico was voted number one in recent surveys of favorite timeshare resorts conducted by the Timeshare Users Group.

Mexico had three resorts voted into the top ten.

Following the Royal Mayan was the St. James Place in Beaver Creek, Colorado; the Trade Winds Cruise Club in the British Virgin Islands; Bluegreen’s Big Cedar Wilderness Club in Ridgedale, Missouri (near Branson); voted number five was the Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico; the Anfi Beach Club in the Canary Islands was voted number six, followed by the Lawrence Welk Resort Villas near San Diego, California, Marriott’s Cypress Harbour Resort in Orlando was voted number eight; the Pueblo Bonito at Emerald Bay in Mazatlan, Mexico was voted at number nine, and rounding out the top ten was Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas in Palm Desert, California.

Timeshare ILX Resorts has filed for bankruptcy protection

In a story that is becoming all too familiar, ILX Resorts timeshares cites the tight credit market and the growing economic recession as causes. However, there is an important fact to remember; ILX Resorts timeshares are open for business and will continue to operate. It is a chapter 11 filing, which is an important distinction, as that is designed to protect a company from its creditors during a period of restructuring. ILX Resorts has not filed chapter 13 bankruptcy, which is liquidation bankruptcy.

ILX timeshares owns eleven timeshare resorts, most of which are located in the southwestern US. They also own one Mexico timeshare in San Carlos. In the US, ILX timeshares can be found in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and South Bend, Indiana. The Villa Groups New Construction

The Villa Group has started construction on the new Villa del Palmar Loreto.

This latest project encompasses hotel, timeshare, fractional ownership, and whole ownership real estate. The new five-star resort is to be built as part of an 1800-acre resort development in Loreto, Baja Sur, Mexico.

Loreto is located on the east coast of the Baja California Peninsula facing the Sea of Cortez in the largest protected sea park in the world. With practically no rain and a source of pure water coming from underground springs, Loreto is becoming one of Mexico’s prime vacation and second home destinations. It is surrounded by the Sierra La Giganta, one of Baja’s highest mountain ranges.

The resort will feature 161 villas with views of the Sea of Cortez and the five islands. The first phase is slated to open in January 2010. Each villa will be decorated with elegant furniture and will include a living room, dining room, full kitchen with granite countertops, modern appliances and electronic equipment, and a 10’ wide spacious terrace.
