RCI Timeshare Exchange Named One of the Best Places to Work in Indiana

RCI timeshare exchange has been named by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana. This makes four consecutive years RCI has received this honor. The president of RCI is quoted as saying, “At RCI, we pride ourselves on our distinctive company culture, and our team of over a thousand employees in Indianapolis is a shining example of how a positive working environment can lead to a happy, engaged and satisfied work force.“

Bluegreen Wilderness Club at Big Cedar Presented 2011 Green Initiative Award

Bluegreen Wilderness Club at Big Cedar was presented with the City of Branson’s 2011 Green Initiative award for its eco-friendly practices. While Bluegreen Wilderness Club is decidedly focused on rustic luxury, with 18 Concierge and Presidential villas, slate and hardwood floors, flat-screen TVs, exquisite fireplaces, stainless steel appliances and soft, comfortable and inviting furniture and bedding; it is also diligent about remaining energy conscious and eco-friendly. The resort is eco-friendly in its landscaping practices to reduce use of water and fertilizer to guard against runoff into Table Rock Lake, and to recycle organic materials into the soil by composting and mulching. The resort’s recycling programs divert and transport an estimated 128.5 tons of recyclable material that would otherwise be sent to a landfill.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Re-opened Wyndham Nashville

Wyndham Vacation Resorts has re-opened the Wyndham Nashville after a $10 million rehabilitation. In early May, the region was struck by a large flood that ruined many homes, establishments, and hotel properties. Wyndham Nashville was one of the unlucky properties to survive the massive flood, albeit with substantial damages to its landscaping and lower-lying buildings. After over four months, the property is back in top shape and welcoming Wyndham timeshare owners. Conveniently situated near the legendary Grand Ole Opry and the huge Opry Mills outlet mall, Wyndham Nashville features a large indoor swimming pool, two outdoor pools and spa, and a fully-equipped fitness center. All amenities of the property were part of the reconstruction plan that started on May 6. Aside from rebuilding its own property, Wyndham also helped the Tennessee community by donating $25,000 in flood relief to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Marriott Outlines Ambitious Growth Plans

While highlighting its significant market opportunities and competitive advantages, Marriott International has informed security analysts and institutional investors in New York, that its earnings per share of stock could hit well above the highest earnings achieved during Marriott’s most recent peak earnings year of 2007. The company expects to add at least 80,000 to 90,000 hotel rooms to its portfolio from 2011 through 2013 with additional opportunities for 22,000 rooms to open in Europe and Asia during that same period. Marriott has plans to adapt and expand current brands, such as Courtyard and Fairfield, to meet the growing needs of customers in markets worldwide. The company will also be expanding its new brands outside of the United States, including Edition, which just opened its first hotel on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. Marriott is also successful in the high-end timeshare market.

RCI Welcomes Branson’s Nantucket Resort

RCI has welcomed Branson’s Nantucket Resort to its global network of resorts. As part of the affiliation, Nantucket Resort plans to offer its owners RCI points platinum membership with free unit upgrades and cash-back rewards for certain transactions. Branson’s Nantucket Resort is a lakefront property that offers views of Table Rock Lake. All homes are Nantucket themed with two, three and five-bedroom options that sleep up to 14 people. Each home has a fireplace, are individually furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and livingroom, in unit washer/dryer, and more.

The Graves 601 Hotel, flagship of Graves Hospitality Corporation, a Minneapolis-based hotel ownership, development and management company, now will be known as Graves 601 Hotel Wyndham Grand. The hotel has earned numerous accolades since opening in 2003, including designation as one of the World’s Best Business Hotels by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine, selection to the Gold List Reserve of Top Hotels in the World by Conde Nast Traveler and three Gold Key awards from Interior Design and Hospitality Design magazines.

Michael Jackson Complex in Indiana

A 100-acre Michael Jackson entertainment complex is expected to begin construction this year in Gary, Indiana. The Michael Jackson theme park will include a museum, performing arts center, hotel, golf course, and theme park inspired by the artist’s Neverland Ranch. According to a recent newspaper article, the park will include rides from or like the Neverland Ranch, and it will be built over 10 years starting with a museum, arts center and hotel, then golf course and theme park.

Gull Lake Residence Club in Nisswa is RCI’s Newest Resort Property in Minnesota

The resort is currently under construction with five units completed that feature a beautiful blend of Minnesota’s rural lake country and resort living. The property features three-bedroom and four-bathroom luxury townhomes that are fully furnished with four fireplaces, five flat-screen high-definition televisions, jetted tubs, wireless Internet and an outdoor grill. The high-end resort is nestled on the beautiful Gull Lake in the Brainerd Lakes area, a popular Midwest vacation destination. Gull Lake also has 38 miles of wooded shoreline with a variety of hiking trails, and each townhouse has its own boat slip in the full-service marina.
