The company boasts eight resorts in the states of Florida, Colorado, Nevada and New Jersey. Founded in 2011, the resorts see more than 70,000 reservations made a year. Currently, the company’s timeshare division has a membership of 36,000. The Indian Shores resort is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida near Tampa.

The largest privately held timeshare company in Australia continues to implement changes for the benefit of its expanding membership base. Classic Holidays is now responsible for over 650 employees between corporate staff and resort personnel, while the latest resort to come onboard, Boambee Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour, brings the total of Classic managed holiday resorts up to 14, located in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. The company has also been raking in awards this year, taking the Perspective Magazine Award for Best Management Company while Classic-managed resort Vacation Village in Port Macquarie, NSW was named as Gold Medalist in the 2012 North Coast Tourism Awards in the standard accommodation category. Vacation Village also received a Gold Industry Recognition Award and a Hospitality Award at the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council industry conference held in Cairns, where Classic staff was also recognized for Sales Team of the Year, Corporate Team of the Year, Marketing Performer of the Year, Excellence in Service and Resort Managers of the Year awards.

The Finland-based developer is the largest European timeshare developer, with 25 spa hotels and resorts in Finland, two in Sweden, six on mainland Spain and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. The new affiliation agreement brings Holiday Club Resorts and RCI together for a new term, with all of the existing Holiday Club Resorts properties continuing to be a part of RCI’s affiliation network.

for the first time in three years according to the 12th annual Ragatz Associates “Shared Ownership Resort Real Estate Industry in North America” report. The report looked at 305 fractional ownership projects and private residence clubs and six destination clubs. A total of 98 of the properties made sales and overall sales reached $552 million last year, which is a 4.2 percent increase from the previous year. It’s important to note that the 207 properties that recorded no sales are older and sold out. Of the properties studied, 67 percent are in the United States, 17 percent in Canada, 8 percent in the Caribbean, and 8 percent in Mexico.

RCI Timeshare exchange added 43 new affiliated resorts in the first three months of 2012. Currently with more than 6,000 vacation resorts in its network of exchange properties, RCI is the largest timeshare exchange company in the world. Gordon Gurnik, president, RCI, says, “We have started the year off strong with some great new affiliations in the first quarter of 2012. We are continuously working to add more high-quality resorts year after year to help give our approximately 3.7 million subscribing members new choices for amazing vacations in some of the world’s most incredible places.” Two new resort properties include, Puerto Plata Village and Resort in the Dominican Republic, and Daya Bay Sanmendao Resort, a property located on an island off Shenzhen, China.

RCI, a global leader in vacation exchange, presents awards annually to the top RCI affiliated resorts. Located in Bancroft, Ontario, the Group of Seven Cottages is a lakefront cottage community that was inspired by renowned Canadian artists who captured the natural beauty of the area on canvas. Built along the shoreline of Baptiste Lake, each fully-equipped, two-story cottage offers breathtaking views, open-concept interiors and three or four generously proportioned bedrooms. The 12.5-acre property offers swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing in the summer, while winter provides guests with opportunities for skating and cross-country skiing.
