Shell Vacations Adds Park Manor Suites in San Diego

Shell Vacations has added Park Manor Suites in San Diego to its portfolio. As a result of Shell Vacation ownership, the resort will change its name to Inn at the Park. The chairman of Shell Vacations has indicated that this will be a signature location for its resorts. The property offers two dining outlets, is imbued with European ambiance and neo-renaissance architecture and features a combination of studio, one and two bedroom suites, ranging in size from 525 to 1,000 square feet, with 9-foot ceilings and large sage windows with postcard-picture views of the city below. Some units have balconies for enjoying the famed San Diego weather.

Laurus Corporation Acquires Doubletree Golf Resort in San Diego

Laurus Corporation has completed the acquisition of the Doubletree Golf Resort in San Diego. The Doubletree Golf Resort is a 130-acre site, with 174 hacienda-style resort rooms and an 18-hole, par 72 championship-level golf course. It is also located in the North Country region of San Diego; one of California’s most rapidly growing visitor destinations. The Doubletree San Diego Resort features over 18,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, making it one of the premier choices for group destinations in the area. Other amenities include five tennis courts and a 5,500 square-foot, fully equipped health and fitness club. The new owners have announced extensive renovation plans to upgrade the resort and its facilities. Plans include a reconfiguration of the lobby to provide a more “chic” arrival area, upgrades to the pool deck to improve the resort experience, and a makeover of the available guest units. The restaurants are also being renovated, with “al fresco terrace dining” and there will be a newly constructed spa.
